Why are we doing this? Last weekend, we found out that the grant has been cancelled. We hope to show how important these grants were.

For those wondering what the SpeakUp grant is: SpeakUp grants provided students in Grades 7-12 with up to $2,500 to lead and/or participate in projects that strengthen student engagement within their classroom, school and the wider community.

We are also looking for stories from those who were a part of the Minister’s Student Advisory Council (MSAC) to share their stories.

Minister’s Student Advisory Council (MSAC) is a group of approximately 60 students, grade 7–12, from all regions across the province. These students share their ideas and provide advice to the Minister of Education on a variety of topics regarding Ontario’s publicly-funded education system.
